Creating a water-friendly environment with free access to clean water and toilets, having good knowledge on national recommendations (if available) and increasing awareness and education of healthy hydration are important elements of promoting healthy hydration. There are a lot of available tools to assess fluid intake and hydration status of individuals that dietitians and health care professionals can use to promote healthy hydration in their daily practice.
